Many Nigerian schools now let parents pay fees online. Here's how it typically works, and how to make sure your payment is successful.
1. Get your child's student ID or AIN
Schools usually assign each student a unique identifier (called an AIN in some systems). You'll need this when making a payment so it's linked to the right student.
2. Go to the school's payment page
The school should provide a payment link or page. It might be on the school website or a school management platform like SchoolHubNG. If you're not sure, ask the school admin for the link.
3. Enter the student's AIN and select fees
On the payment page, enter the AIN. The system will show the fees due for that student. Select the fees you want to pay (you can usually pay one or several at once).
4. Choose a payment method
Most platforms use Paystack or similar gateways. You can pay with:
- Card: Enter your debit or credit card details. Your bank may send an OTP for verification.
- Bank transfer: The system gives you a bank account to transfer to. The payment is confirmed once the transfer is received.
- USSD: Dial a code from your phone (no internet needed) and follow the prompts.
5. Complete the payment
Follow the prompts to finish. Once payment is confirmed, you'll see a success message. A receipt is usually generated and available on the platform.
6. Keep your receipt
Download or screenshot the receipt. You can usually also view payment history by logging into the parent portal (if the school provides one).
